Blood of the Old Kings is just a goddamn blast to read. And also I find the multi-eyed dragon really sexy, is that weird?

Blood of the Old Kings는 읽기가 그냥 너무 재밌다. 그리고 눈 여럿 달린 용이 섹시한데, 내가 이상한 건가?

I especially loved reading from the perspectives of both Loran and Arienne… Neither woman is simply the stone cold badass bitch type that we see so often in media and popular culture—they are nuanced characters with different motivations, strengths, and weaknesses. It’s rare to have a complex female character in a fantasy novel that isn’t reduced to some trope, let alone two.

로란과 아리엔의 관점에서 읽는 것이 특히 좋았다. 어느 쪽도 미디어와 대중 문화에서 너무나 자주 보이는 stone cold badass bitch 타입이 아니다. 동기와 강점과 약점이 모두 다른 섬세한 인물들이다. 판타지 소설의 복잡한 여성 캐릭터가 클리셰로 압축되지 않는 경우가 드문데, 여기는 둘이나 나온다.
